SERAP to sue Nigerian Lawmakers for planning to buy 400 exotic cars


A human rights group, Socio-economic Right and Accountability Project (SERAP) has exposed the plans of House of Representatives to buy exotic cars for themselves.

The human rights group exposed this via its Twitter page @SRRAPNigeria on Thursday.

The tweet which expressed the lawmakers’ plan to buy 400 exotic cars said the the estimated price is $35,130 per car. It also said that the plan is coming now that the lawmakers supposed to dedicate their commitment into improving the lives of the citizens.

The tweet reads in words:

“BREAKING:@HouseNGR plans to buy 400 exotic cars [at estimated $35,130 per car]. Yet, legislative powers should be used to improve citizens’ lives & not serve personal interests.”

Also, the group revealed in the same tweet that it has decided to issue an action on court to stop the lawmakers from carrying out its plan.

“We’ll see them in court,” the tweet reads.
