Five new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria have been confirmed taking the total number of cases in the country to 51.
Two of the outbreaks are in the FCT, two are in Lagos and one is in Rivers State, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC also clarified that three of the affected individuals are returning tourists to Nigeria while the other two are near associates with a case that has been confirmed previously.
This comes as worldwide states are speeding up measures to combat virus transmission.
Residents have been told to stay at home, more restrictive limits have been imposed on public forums, and individuals like governors and government officials are being pushed into self-employment
