Covid-19: Plane with medical supplies crashes

During the takeoff in Manila Philippines, a chartered medical evacuation flight crashed on Sunday.

The plane carrying emergency medical supplies to Japan crashed and exploded during the coronavirus epidemic.

The WestWind 24 aircraft took off from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, according to the Manila International Airport Authority, when it burst into flames and crashed, adding that it killed all eight passengers on board.

“The flight, which was on a med-evac mission to Haneda, Japan, was carrying two passengers and six crew members.

“Unfortunately, no passenger survived the accident.”

Two passengers were a Canadian man who was 63 and a Filipino-American woman who was 58.

The six Filipinos were reported by the airport authorities to be three pilots, a flight engineer, a doctor and a nurse.
